A roster built for depth
The Chicago Blackhawks have placed nine of their roster members inside the NHL.com Top 250 fantasy hockey rankings, a testament to the organization’s growing depth.
Leading the list is Connor Bedard, the 65th‑ranked forward who burst onto the scene with 30 goals and 75 points in 69 games last season, but he will sit out the opening month of the 2026‑27 campaign.
His absence creates a window for newcomers such as Anton Frondell, the 110th‑ranked rookie expected to anchor a top‑six forward line.
Veteran presence returns in the form of Patrick Kane, the 173rd‑ranked winger who is projected to deliver 25 goals and 60 points, his highest totals since the 2021‑22 season.
Adding to the mix, Bowen Byram, acquired from the Buffalo Sabres, sits at No. 164 after posting a career‑high 42 points with his previous team.
Between the pipes, Spencer Knight, ranked No. 172, enters the season after a career‑high 55‑game stretch that yielded a .902 save percentage and a 2.82 goals‑against average.
Forward Frank Nazar, placed at No. 174, could become the centerpiece of the top line after recording 15 goals and 41 points last season.
Tyler Bertuzzi, ranked No. 220, is coming off a career‑high 32‑goal campaign and will look to contribute offensively.
Defensive depth includes Sam Rinzel, No. 222, who posted four goals and 14 points in 54 games, and Artyom Levshunov, No. 236, a top‑four defenseman with 22 points in 68 games.
