Blair Oaks and St. Elizabeth lead Missouri high school baseball all-state selections

Vander Halford earns top player honors as teams celebrate championship and runner-up finishes

The Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association has announced its all-state teams, honoring 27 players from the Jefferson City area for their performances this season.

Blair Oaks Falcons and St. Elizabeth Hornets each placed six athletes on the selections, and both programs finished the year among the state’s best — Blair Oaks captured the Class 3 championship while St. Elizabeth finished as Class 1 runners-up.

Vander Halford’s standout season

Vander Halford, a junior at Blair Oaks, earned the additional honor of being named Class 3 player of the year, and he was joined on the first team by teammates Wyatt Libbert, Kaden Schulte and Hayden Lackman.

St. Elizabeth’s first-team Class 1 members — Eli Kemna, Kyson Green, Sam Luetkemeyer and Carter Reinkemeyer — helped the Hornets close the season at 18-8, while the Eugene Eagles contributed three honorees: Jeffrey Schulte, Chase Richard and Jacob Bittle.

Additional selections came from Southern Boone, which placed Nolan Ash, Jackson Woodward and Zach DeHaas on the list, and from Eldon, where Khale Hammond and Drew Hinds were recognized. Tipton contributed Eli Higgins and Paxton Pyle, and the remaining area programs — Jefferson City, Calvary Lutheran, Fatima, South Callaway and Belle — each had a single representative.

The breadth of honorees underscores a deep pool of talent across multiple classifications, highlighting the region’s continued prominence in high school baseball.
