Blaney tops Sonoma practice
Ryan Blaney set the fastest lap of the session at Sonoma Raceway, clocking 75.808 seconds in the NASCAR Cup Series practice. His performance put him ahead of a competitive field as the series heads toward the upcoming Toyota/Save Mart 350.
Kyle Larson, the defending champion, followed in second, while Tyler Reddick, Bubba Wallace and Shane van Gisbergen completed the top five. The trio highlighted a tightly contested midfield battle.
Other drivers who featured in the top ten included Ty Gibbs, Ross Chastain, Chase Briscoe, AJ Allmendinger, and William Byron, each posting times that kept the competitive spirit alive.
The session saw minor on‑track incidents, with AJ Allmendinger and Erik Jones spinning but avoiding major damage. Jones’ No. 43 car sustained slight wear, but the team avoided a pit stop.
Qualifying and race broadcast
Cup Series qualifying will be streamed on truTV, setting the stage for Sunday’s race. Coverage of the Toyota/Save Mart 350 will begin shortly after 3:30 p.m. ET, with live telecast on TNT, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Cody Ware finished at the back of the field in 36th place, posting a fastest lap of 78.350 seconds, underscoring the spread of performance across the grid.
