Ryan Blaney captured the NASCAR Cup Series victory at EchoPark Speedway in a dramatic overtime finish, securing his second win of the 2026 season and the 19th triumph of his Cup career.
The event was halted by a three‑hour storm delay after 108 of the scheduled 260 laps, adding a lengthy pause to an already chaotic race filled with multiple cautions and intense on‑track battles.
When the green flag finally waved, Blaney, Christopher Bell, Carson Hocevar, Ty Gibbs and Erik Jones jostled for position, while Larson and Reddick broke away from the Penske contingent to challenge for the lead.
Bubba Wallace’s afternoon ended in penalty trouble when he was docked positions for an illegal move, dropping him to 29th and reshaping the running order.
Stage 2 concluded with a late‑lap incident in which Wallace spun off Ty Gibbs just as the checkered flag flew, but Blaney held his nerve to win the stage and maintain momentum.
A Storm‑Delayed Overtime Thriller
The final overtime restart saw Hocevar briefly take the lead, only for Blaney to pull ahead on the restart and drive to the checkered flag, delivering a victory for Team Penske.
The win highlighted the competitive depth of the field, with Shane van Gisbergen finishing sixth and a host of other drivers — including Austin Dillon, Tyler Reddick, Joey Logano and Chris Buescher — rounding out the top ten.
