The Northern Peninsula Football Club, a 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to year‑round play on the Olympic Peninsula, took the opportunity this week to thank its volunteers and sponsors for keeping the Blaze, an 11‑on‑11 women’s recreational soccer team, thriving on the field.
The Blaze, founded three years ago, is supported by Re/Max Team McAleer and Greased Lightnin 360, and welcomes any woman aged 18 or older who wants to join a casual soccer environment. Its next home match is scheduled for May 30 at 3 p.m. against the Peninsula Girls at Monroe Athletic Field.
