A Tradition Re-Established
Organizers announced that the Blue Water Area high school basketball all-star game will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2024, at Imlay City High School, marking the first time the event has been held at that venue since 2024. The showcase will feature a girls game, two 3-point shooting contests, a dunk contest and a boys game, offering seniors from the previous season a chance to compete in five distinct events.
Rosters for the contests will be released in the coming weeks, and the games are limited exclusively to seniors who participated in the last school year. Athletic director Don Gauthier of Imlay City will serve as the point of contact for media inquiries, reachable at gauthier@icschools.us.
Baseball All-Star Game Rescheduled
Separately, the 2026 Blue Water Area Senior Baseball All-Star Game has been moved to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, at Richmond High School. The exhibition, revived in 2022 and now in its fifth year, continues to highlight top senior talent from across the region.
Local schools including Croswell-Lexington and Richmond have partnered with the Times Herald to promote the events, while the Times Herald’s online platform will provide live updates and coverage leading up to the games.
