Hall of Fame Induction
The upcoming induction ceremony will take place Wednesday evening at the Caesars Superdome, bringing together fans, alumni and fellow athletes to honor one of the Privateers' most iconic figures.
Bo McCalebb, a University of New Orleans Hall of Famer, arrives at the Hall of Fame with a storied résumé that includes a record 2,679 points, 977 made field goals and 250 career steals, marks that still stand as the highest in both UNO and the Sun Belt Conference.
His dominance extended beyond college, where he led the Privateers to four healthy seasons and earned Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year in 2003‑04 and Player of the Year in 2006‑07. After graduation he carved out a professional career in Europe, capturing 13 league titles and cups between 2010 and 2016, and was recognized with All‑EuroLeague honors in 2010 and 2013.
Representing Macedonia on the international stage, McCalebb helped the national team reach the bronze‑medal game at EuroBasket 2011, further cementing his status as a global competitor. He will be joined in the 2026 class by brothers Eli and Peyton Manning, a trio that underscores the Hall’s blend of basketball and football legends.
The ceremony will not only celebrate McCalebb’s achievements but also highlight the broader impact of Privateer athletics, with his jersey retirement by UNO scheduled for the same night, a tribute that reflects his lasting legacy in Louisiana basketball.
