Boeheim’s Army Sets Coaching Staff for The Basketball Tournament

Head coach Thomas Bridges leads a squad that blends NBA experience with Syracuse ties

A New Era for Boeheim's Army

Boeheim's Army, the alumni‑driven basketball team that has become a staple of The Basketball Tournament, has revealed its coaching lineup for the upcoming season.

Thomas Bridges, a former assistant with the Long Island Nets and video coordinator for the Philadelphia 76ers, will serve as head coach, bringing a blend of player development and analytical expertise to the bench.

General manager Shaun Belbey, currently a video coordinator at Syracuse University and a longtime assistant coach, will also patrol the sidelines, adding a local flavor to the roster.

Pete Corisaniti, who survived a staff shake‑up under Adrian Autry and now serves as Associate Athletic Director of Men's Basketball Operations at Syracuse, rounds out the assistant coaching trio.

The team will open its best‑of‑three series against Seton Hall alumni squad Hall In on July 21 in New Jersey, with a potential return to Syracuse for game two on July 23 at Upstate Medical University Arena, and a decisive game three on July 24 if needed.

The series promises a nostalgic showdown, pitting Bridges' professional pedigree against a Hall In squad composed of former Seton Hall stars, while the Syracuse connection could draw a hometown crowd.
