Boerne Independent School District kicked off its annual baseball camp this week, drawing roughly 150 high school‑aged players eager to sharpen their hitting, fielding and overall game.
The camp, staged on the fields of Boerne High School, combined intensive batting practice, defensive drills and a series of skill‑building stations overseen by district coaches and student volunteers.

Head coaches Ben Woodchick and Geoff Curtin spent the afternoon circulating among the campers, offering pointers after a rigorous workout and encouraging the youngsters to apply the techniques they had just learned.
Participants also took turns hitting off a tee, a simple yet effective drill that helped them fine‑tune timing and swing mechanics.
