Boom Ball, the newly launched family‑friendly baseball‑style competition, will take over Jackson Field on July 4, offering a fresh twist on the classic sport.
Teams composed of former professional baseball and softball players will face off in a fast‑paced format that mixes traditional innings with playful elements such as flips and friendly battles, keeping the action unpredictable and exciting for spectators of all ages.
Lauren King, vice president of marketing for Boom Ball, says the event’s core mission is to create a safe, entertaining environment where kids and families can share the excitement together.
Evening Schedule and Ticket Details
Festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m., giving attendees plenty of time to enjoy food vendors, music and activities before the first pitch at 7:30 p.m. Tickets start at $15, making the experience accessible to a wide audience.
This marks the first time Boom Ball has been staged in Lansing, and organizers hope the debut will become an annual highlight of the city’s summer calendar.
