Leadership changes at the helm
The Boston Bruins announced that Evan Gold, who has served as assistant general manager and Providence Bruins General Manager for many years, will leave the organization effective August 1.
In a move that underscores the club’s confidence in internal talent, longtime scout Dennis Bonvie and analytics chief Jeremy Rogalski were both promoted to assistant general manager positions.
Kevyn Adams, formerly the general manager of the Buffalo Sabres, is set to join as a Senior Advisor to the General Manager, while Alex Gimenez, with recent stints at the Premier Women’s Hockey League and the Boston Red Sox, will serve as Director of Hockey Operations, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
General Manager Don Sweeney praised the new additions, highlighting Gold’s contributions and expressing optimism that the fresh leadership will strengthen the club’s competitiveness.
The departures also leave the Providence Bruins without a general manager and a head coach, prompting the organization to address those gaps as the upcoming season approaches.
