A milestone schedule for the Eagles
Boston College has released its 2026‑27 non‑conference men’s basketball schedule, a lineup that blends early‑season exhibitions with a series of high‑profile matchups. The campaign opens with an exhibition game against MIT on October 25 before the Eagles host Wagner for their official season opener on November 3.
A highlight of the schedule is the return to TD Garden after a twelve‑year absence, where Boston College will meet UMass Amherst on November 6. The game is part of the long‑standing Commonwealth Classic, a series that dates back to the 1905‑06 season and currently favors the Eagles with a 26‑22 edge.
Luke Murray, who has taken on a leadership role in promoting the program, expressed enthusiasm about playing in one of the nation’s premier basketball venues and about the opportunity to test the team against a variety of opponents throughout the non‑conference slate.
Following the TD Garden appearance, the Eagles will host Maryland Eastern Shore on November 10 and New Hampshire on November 15 before traveling across the Charles River to face Harvard on November 18. The team will also compete in the ESPN Events Invitational in Orlando, Florida, before heading to Georgia for the ACC/SEC Challenge on December 1.
December will conclude with five consecutive home games, featuring matchups against UMass Lowell, Northeastern, George Washington, New Haven and Stonehill, providing a busy finish to the non‑conference portion of the schedule.
