Season Overview
Boston College field hockey unveiled its 2026 regular‑season schedule, a 17‑game lineup that blends home‑field advantage with a rigorous road slate. The announcement highlights marquee matchups against traditional rivals and the defending national champions.
Two preseason road scrimmages will test the Eagles early, with games at UMass on Aug. 13 and at UConn on Aug. 22 before the season officially opens.
The first home game is slated for Aug. 28 against Providence, after which the team travels to face UAlbany before hosting the annual ACC/Big Ten Challenge, a showcase that includes Duke, Northwestern and Maryland.
Boston College will meet Maryland on Sept. 4 and then host the defending champions, Northwestern, on a Sunday later that month. A five‑game road stretch follows, beginning with a neutral‑site contest against Maine at UMass Lowell.
The road swing continues with trips to Harvard (Sept. 13), Louisville (Sept. 18), Ohio State (Sept. 20) and a showdown with Duke (Sept. 27). After returning home for a four‑game stretch featuring Wake Forest and Northeastern, the Eagles will welcome Virginia and Boston University before closing the regular season at Syracuse on Oct. 30.
