Boston College’s baseball squad has been seeded second in the Athens Regional, setting up a Friday showdown against Liberty that will be streamed on ESPN+ at 2 p.m. ET.
Head coach Todd Interdonato, who took the helm in 2023, is guiding the Eagles through their first Regional as a head coach, adding a fresh narrative to a program that has tasted postseason success in recent years.
The team’s recent history includes a tough 8‑2 loss to Miami in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals, a double‑bye as the No. 4 seed, and a string of appearances that dates back to 2009, when they reached the Austin Regional, and 2016, when they advanced to the Oxford Regional.
Georgia, the No. 3 overall seed, will open against Long Island on the SEC Network at 7 p.m., while the Eagles prepare to navigate a bracket that also features historic venues such as the Austin and Oxford Regionals of the past.
Boston College has not returned to the College World Series since 1967, making each Regional run a milestone for a program that last saw action in the 2023 Regional with a 2‑2 record.
