Boston College’s football program is gearing up for the 2026 season after a disappointing 2‑10 finish that marked one of the program’s worst campaigns in recent memory. Head coach Bill O’Brien, who took over the reins just a few years ago, has announced a sweeping restructuring aimed at turning the tide.
The overhaul includes the hiring of a new general manager, a former star wide receiver and return specialist, and the addition of more than two dozen transfer athletes alongside a freshman class of over twenty players. Roughly half of the coaching staff has also been replaced, signaling a fresh approach to strategy and development.

The projected depth chart highlights several returning juniors who will anchor the offense, including quarterback Mason McKenzie and all‑purpose back Reed Swanson.
