Boston Fleet Prepares for PWHL Season with New Draft Picks

A look at roster changes, draft selections and emerging talent

Boston Fleet Eyes Fresh Talent Ahead of PWHL Season

The Boston Fleet are gearing up for the upcoming Premier Women’s Hockey League campaign, placing a renewed emphasis on the talent they have cultivated through the draft and development pipeline.

The squad’s preparation follows a series of departures: forwards Alaina Muller and Jamie Lee Rattray, as well as defenders Zoe Boyd, Mia Biotti and Daniela Pejsova, have all signed with the league’s expansion teams.

On June 17 the club made five selections in the 2026 PWHL Draft, bringing in defender Grace Dwyer from Cornell University, defender Leah Stecker of Pennsylvania State University, forward Jaden Bogden from Northeastern University, forward Jenna Goodwin, who spent the 2025‑26 season with Frolunda HC, and defender Maeve Kelly of Boston University.

The organization also reacquired forward Ella Huber in a trade that involved a second‑round pick with PWHL Detroit, adding another experienced option to the roster.

Among the new faces, Haley Winn was immediately recognized as the league’s best rookie and has been skating mostly alongside captain Megan Keller, while Megan Keller herself earned defender‑of‑the‑year honors and ranked fourth on the team in points. Forward Abby Newhook entered the conversation as one of the top rookies, posting 14 points in 29 games, and the defensive duo of Grace Dwyer and Leah Stecker bring collegiate point totals of 76 and 57 respectively, underscoring the depth the Fleet hope to leverage.
