Boston University Men’s Basketball Announces 2026‑27 Schedule with 14 Home Games

Returning core and new rivalries set the stage for another championship run

A New Chapter for the Terriers

Boston University’s men’s basketball program released its 2026‑27 schedule on Thursday, promising a season that blends familiar comforts with fresh challenges.

The Terriers will host 14 games at the historic Case Gym, including a much‑anticipated crosstown showdown with Northeastern that adds extra intensity to the home slate.

Beyond the familiar rivalries, the non‑conference slate stretches across the Ivy League, the Big Ten and seven other conferences, giving the team a chance to test itself against a variety of styles.

Northeastern opens its season on November 2, followed by matchups against Brown on November 6 and Northwestern on November 9, setting the tone for a demanding early stretch.

Championship Ambitions

The returning core features rising junior Azmar Abdullah, sophomores Sam Hughes and Donte Tisinger Jr., and senior Kyrone Alexander, all of whom contributed to last year’s record‑setting 49.5 % three‑point shooting.

That efficiency translated into a school‑record 319 made threes, a statistic that underpins the team’s high‑percentage offense and fuels optimism for another title run.

Season tickets for both the men’s and women’s programs are now on sale, giving fans the opportunity to secure seats for the entire campaign.

The Patriot League season kicks off on December 30 and will wrap up on February 27 against Army West Point, after which the 2027 Patriot League Championship will be held from March 2‑10, with BU hosting the higher seed in each round.
