Bossier Parish Community College is set to host a Basketball Coaching & Professional Development Clinic on September 23, offering aspiring mentors a chance to learn from a distinguished group of coaches representing the NBA, NCAA and the broader collegiate landscape.
A distinguished lineup of speakers
The clinic will feature six coaches, including Jeff Moore, the college’s own head coach with 33 years of collegiate experience and prior stints as an assistant at LSU and Northwestern State; Mark Morefield, who previously served under Baylor’s staff; Dale Osbourne, a veteran NBA assistant with 14 years spanning the Portland Trail Blazers and Orlando Magic; Malik Cooper, now an associate head coach at Wiley College after a standout playing career; Aramie Brooks, heading women’s basketball at Southern Arkansas University Tech; and Jonathan Nunez, a recent graduate assistant at LSU and former assistant at Stephen F. Austin.
Registration opens at 9 a.m., with the instructional portion running from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Attendees will pay a $30 fee that covers lunch, and after the formal sessions they will be invited to watch BPCC’s men’s basketball skill workouts in the same gym.
The event takes place at the Coach Billy Montgomery Gymnasium on the BPCC Bossier Campus, located at 6220 East Texas Street in Bossier City, providing a convenient venue for local and regional coaches seeking professional growth.
