Brad Herman was unveiled this week as the new head coach of Greece Arcadia Football, stepping into the role after Kory Shea’s two‑year tenure ended without a winning season. The announcement comes as the Titans look to reverse a stretch of consecutive one‑win campaigns that has left the program searching for its first sustained success since the early 1990s.
Herman brings more than twenty years of coaching experience to the sideline. His career includes stints as an offensive and defensive line coach at Wilson High School and a defensive coordinator at Honeoye Falls‑Lima, where he helped shape some of the region’s most disciplined units. Prior to his recent appointments, Herman also served as president of the Greece Chargers youth football program, a role that gave him deep insight into the local talent pipeline.
A Schedule That Tests the Titans
The 2026 slate consists of seven games, but the Titans will face a gauntlet of unfamiliar opponents. Only two teams — Brockport and Greece Olympia/Odyssey — return from the previous season, and the matchup against Olympia/Odyssey marks the first meeting in nearly a decade. The schedule also includes a rematch with Brockport, a team that eliminated the Titans in the 2025 Class A‑2 quarterfinals, ending a 1‑7 season.
Key pieces of the roster are set to return, headlined by senior wide receiver and defensive back Drake Sapp, running back/linebacker Frankie Griswold, and offensive lineman/defensive lineman Gio Griffin. Their experience could provide the stability the team needs as they navigate a demanding schedule that includes contests in Batavia, Canandaigua and the combined Edison/SOTA/Padilla/SWW school.
Looking Back, Looking Forward
The Titans’ last Section V championship came in 1988, a distant memory that fuels the current ambition. With a new coaching staff and a roster that blends senior leadership with emerging talent, the program hopes to rewrite its recent narrative of underachievement and return to contention in the highly competitive Class A‑2 division.
