Wisconsin’s men’s basketball program is gearing up for the new campaign, and a key piece of its puzzle will be back for another season.
Veteran Depth Fuels Ambitions
Braeden Carrington, who averaged 8.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists in just 18.1 minutes per game last year, shot 40.8 percent from the field and will now have the chance to build on that production.
His return adds veteran depth to a roster that already includes six seniors and seven upperclassmen, a group that Coach Greg Gard has been shaping throughout the offseason.
Gard, who guided the team to a 24‑10 record before the NCAA Tournament, says the extra year of eligibility gives the Badgers flexibility as they fine‑tune their lineup and aim to remain competitive in the Big Ten.
The coaching staff is already working on roster adjustments, ensuring that the added experience translates into on‑court impact when the season tips off.
