A New Chapter for Boston College Soccer
Boston College has named Braima Samati an assistant coach for the men's soccer team, integrating a blend of playing experience and coaching acumen into the program.
Samati spent the past three years serving as a volunteer assistant for the Eagles, contributing to recruitment, strategy sessions and daily training drills.
Coaching Roots in Community Colleges
Before his volunteer stint, Samati led the men's soccer programs at Roxbury Community College for four seasons and guided Massbay Community College for a year, fostering growth and competitive play at both institutions.
His leadership at the community‑college level demonstrated an ability to develop talent and implement tactical frameworks that emphasized technical skill and strategic awareness.
Samati earned a degree in general management from Bridgewater State University in 2014 and previously played two seasons as a midfielder for the Bears, experiences that inform his coaching philosophy.
