Brandon Nania is back at Patrick & Henry Community College, taking the helm of the baseball program after a year spent as an assistant at Radford University. The return marks a homecoming for a coach who once wore the Patriots’ uniform as a player and later helped the team capture a Region 10 West Division title in 2024.
A Familiar Face Returns
During his earlier tenure, Nania served as an assistant when the Patriots won a Region 10 championship and earned a berth in the JUCO World Series in 2021. He also set program records with 60 single‑season RBIs, 117 career RBIs, 42 career doubles and 16 home runs, numbers that still stand in the school’s history books.
Program Vision
Athletic director Brandon Johnson praised Nania’s leadership, noting that his deep familiarity with the program and his proven ability to develop talent make him the ideal figure to steer the team toward continued excellence. Nania says his passion lies at the junior‑college level, where he can make the greatest impact on players’ careers. He believes the combination of his Division I exposure and his roots in the community will help student‑athletes reach the next tier of competition.
Looking Ahead
Looking ahead, Nania wants to build on the college’s NJCAA No. 9 ranking and its reputation for sending players to four‑year institutions. He aims to sharpen recruiting, enhance development pathways and maintain the winning tradition that has defined the program for years. With the support of the athletic department and a roster eager to prove themselves, Nania is poised to guide the Patriots toward another successful season, one that could see several players earn opportunities at Division I programs.
