Brayden Krenzel Transfers to Arkansas After Record‑Breaking Tennessee Career

The son of former Ohio State star Craig Krenzel moves to Fayetteville, bringing a strong pitching résumé and a family legacy.

Brayden Krenzel, a right‑handed pitcher who concluded his collegiate career at the University of Tennessee, has announced his commitment to the University of Arkansas.

During his two seasons with the Volunteers, he appeared in 41 games, posting a 5‑3 record, a 6.30 earned run average and 69 strikeouts across 50 innings, while also delivering two saves and maintaining a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.

The son of former Ohio State quarterback Craig Krenzel, Krenzel grew up in Dublin, Ohio, and chose Tennessee over scholarships from Ohio State and Kentucky after a recruiting process that also featured the University of Arkansas.

Under the guidance of head coach Tony Vitello and pitching coach Josh Elander, the Volunteers posted a 46‑19 record in the 2025 season, advancing to the Fayetteville Super Regional, and finished the 2026 campaign at 38‑22 before their elimination in the Chapel Hill Regional on May 30.

A New Chapter in Fayetteville

His arrival adds depth to an Arkansas rotation that has been seeking stability, and the Razorbacks hope his experience and poise will translate into more wins for the program as they look ahead to the next season.
