Felipe Moura, a promising soccer talent from Brazil, has officially signed with Central Methodist University in Missouri, joining a program that not only offers a competitive schedule but also a vibrant Brazilian community on campus.
Moura capped his high school career at Springwood with a flawless season, guiding his team to a state championship and collecting All‑Tournament honors for his standout performances on the field.
Springwood Head of School Allyson Matthews highlighted Moura’s exceptional academic record, noting that his competitive spirit is matched by his dedication to scholarly pursuits, while head soccer coach Taylor O’Neill praised his versatility, work ethic and natural leadership.
Choosing Central Methodist was a deliberate decision for Moura, who cited the university’s strong academic fit, the presence of Brazilian students, and the best overall offer as key factors in fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing college soccer in the United States.
