Gaughan, a Los Angeles native and heir to the family that owns the South Point Hotel & Casino, will wear the sponsor’s branding throughout the weekend. The casino’s involvement underscores a personal connection to the region and provides a high‑profile partnership for the team as it seeks to add another chapter to Gaughan’s extensive racing résumé.
The upcoming start represents more than a personal milestone; it revives a career that includes eight Truck Series victories, a six‑win season in 2003, and back‑to‑back titles in the NASCAR Winston West Series. Gaughan’s résumé also features a class win at the 2011 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona and a respectable record in the Cup and O’Reilly Series, positioning him as a seasoned competitor ready to blend experience with fresh ambition.
