Goose Creek has appointed Brett Alexander as its new head basketball coach, stepping into a role that opens a fresh chapter for a program that has become a cornerstone of the Lowcountry’s high school sports scene.

Alexander, who has spent the past ten years as part of the Gators’ coaching staff, previously guided the school’s B‑team and junior varsity squads, honing a reputation for player development and disciplined play.
He replaces Blake Hall, who resigned in May after fourteen seasons that produced 258 victories and six campaigns with at least twenty wins, a record that underscores the program’s consistency.
Under Hall’s leadership the Gators captured the 5A‑2 Lower State finals last season, a feat that reflects the depth of talent and culture cultivated over the years.
With a track record of tenured service and an intimate understanding of the school’s basketball ecosystem, Alexander is poised to build on that momentum and steer the team toward its next chapter of achievement.
