Gustafson Clinches Boys Coach of the Year
Brian Gustafson, the Timnath boys basketball coach, was selected as the Boys Coach of the Year for the 2025‑26 school year in the Blue Federal Credit Union poll, capturing 42.86% of the vote.
Under Gustafson’s guidance the Timnath program captured a home regional title, broke new ground by reaching the Class 4A Final Four for the first time in school history, and finished the season with a 23‑4 record that saw the team ranked No. 1 for much of the campaign.
A Tight Race with Yemm
Matt Yemm, the outgoing football coach at Fort Collins High School, finished a close second with 38.16% of the vote, underscoring the competitive nature of the recognition among local coaches.
The Blue Federal Credit Union poll, which highlights outstanding coaching performances across the region, reflects both the on‑court success of Gustafson’s squad and the respect coaches command within the community.
