A new chapter for the Eagles
Brodey Bitove, a Toronto native who last appeared for Indiana University, has officially joined the Boston College baseball program after entering the transfer portal on June 19, 2026. His commitment was announced on Instagram, marking the latest move in a career that has seen him traverse multiple collegiate programs.
Bitove’s collegiate journey began at Pepperdine, where as a freshman he recorded a .162 batting average with 11 hits in 30 games. He later transferred to Indiana, where he appeared in a single game before deciding to move on. Prior to his college years, he starred at The Benjamin School in Jupiter, Florida, posting a .423 average and an OPS of 1.145.
In the summer of 2025, he played for the Ocean State Waves in the New England Collegiate Baseball League, posting a .345/.457/.724 slash line over nine games and leading the league with seven extra‑base hits. That performance helped cement his reputation as a potent offensive threat.
The addition of Bitove brings the total number of transfers to six for Boston College this offseason, a roster overhaul that also requires the hiring of two new assistant coaches. Recent staff changes include the departure of former outfield and hitting coach Greg Sullivan and the appointment of former pitching coach Ryan Forrest as the new head coach at Princeton.
The moves reflect a broader reshaping of the program’s personnel and coaching staff, as the Eagles aim to rebuild competitiveness ahead of the upcoming season.
