Brody Sparks, a highly touted quarterback, left Carter High School to join Oak Ridge for his senior season, a move designed to sharpen his college recruitment profile and give him a realistic shot at a championship.
During his junior year at Carter he completed 65 percent of his passes, amassing 2,029 yards and 16 touchdowns, numbers that caught the eye of several college programs.
At Oak Ridge Sparks now finds himself throwing to Malik Howard, a four‑star Tennessee commit and the nation’s No. 11 tight end, who brings a blend of size and athleticism that opens new possibilities for the offense.
A New Connection
The Oak Ridge playbook is built to give Sparks more freedom to improvise, allowing him to step outside the pocket and create plays on the fly.

Howard, who recorded 53 receptions for 778 yards and 11 touchdowns in his junior campaign, chose Tennessee after receiving offers from more than 30 schools, underscoring the prestige of his commitment.
