A Versatile Playmaker Joins the Cowboys
Bryson Brown, a 6‑foot, 185‑pound defensive back from Broken Arrow, has officially pledged to the Oklahoma State Cowboys, locking in his spot in the 2027 recruiting class.
The versatile defender earned praise from Broken Arrow head coach Travis Hill, who highlighted Brown’s ability to line up at corner, safety and nickel, noting his speed and physicality as traits that translate well to the Big 12.
Brown’s recruitment drew interest from a host of Power Five programs, including Penn State, the University of Oklahoma and the University of South Carolina, all of which extended scholarship offers during the summer of 2024.
Official visits to Oklahoma State, the University of Kansas and the University of Arkansas are slated for the coming weeks, giving the prospect a chance to experience the campus environment before making his decision.
His commitment marks the third addition to OSU’s 2027 class and follows hard on the heels of another Oklahoma prospect, quarterback Carson White of Iowa Colony, Texas, who also chose the Cowboys earlier this week.
Coach Travis Hill emphasized that Brown’s versatility will allow the defensive staff to experiment with multiple formations, potentially reshaping the Cowboys’ secondary in the years to come.
The early signing period has already seen a surge of commitments from in‑state talent, underscoring Oklahoma State’s aggressive push to retain top prospects within the state and the broader region.
