Family Fun at Brooklyn Commons
The Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, together with Brooklyn Bridge Parents, is bringing a free, family‑friendly World Cup viewing party to Brooklyn Commons Park on June 17. The celebration invites neighbors of all ages to enjoy a day of soccer‑themed activities and a live broadcast of the England versus Croatia match.
Kicking off at 3:30 PM, the Kids’ Soccer Village will transform a corner of the park into a playground of sport. Children can dive into interactive soccer games, try their hand at Foosball, craft World Cup‑themed art, and trade official Panini stickers with fellow fans.
Live Match Screening at 4:00 PM
At 4:00 PM the park’s large screen will light up with the England versus Croatia showdown. The broadcast promises a shared viewing experience that turns the park into a communal stadium, complete with cheers, chants and a festive atmosphere.
Admission is completely free, but organizers encourage attendees to RSVP online to help manage crowd flow. Families are welcome to bring blankets, picnic supplies and a spirit of togetherness as they celebrate the global tournament right here in Brooklyn.
