A Century on the Field
The Brown Bears men’s soccer program will open its 2026 campaign on the evening of August 28, when the team welcomes New Haven to Stevenson‑Pincince Field for a 7 p.m. kickoff. The match marks the first step of a schedule that blends non‑conference tests with Ivy League showdowns and a historic celebration of the program’s 100‑year legacy.
Brown’s slate this fall is deliberately varied, featuring home contests against Saint Peter’s, Stonehill, URI, NJIT and road trips to UConn and Providence, before the Ivy League slate begins with a September 26 visit to Columbia. The Bears will also host Cornell on October 3, a game that doubles as Youth Day and a centennial tribute to the team’s storied past.
Returning Leaders
Key contributors from the 2025 roster are poised to anchor the side. James Snaith, who appeared in all 15 matches last season and logged his first collegiate goal in 2024, returns alongside All‑Ivy honorees Lorenzo Amaral, the team’s leading scorer with nine points, and Mathias Hille, who earned his first All‑Ivy recognition after featuring in every game.
Coach Chase Wileman, now in his fifth year at the helm, will rely on that experience while integrating eight newcomers, among them Sergio Canos Seneci and Luke Harrell, to deepen depth and add fresh tactical options.
Looking Ahead
The season will close with a pair of final tests against the Big Green on October 31 and Yale on November 7, giving the Bears a clear runway to evaluate progress before the next chapter. With a blend of seasoned veterans, promising recruits and a centennial celebration that ties past triumphs to future ambitions, Brown’s men’s soccer program enters 2026 with cautious optimism and a clear sense of purpose.
