Brown University’s field hockey team has released its 2026 schedule, a 16‑game slate that features nine contests on its home turf at Goldberger Family Field.
A challenging slate
The announcement comes as the Bears look to build on a breakthrough 2025 campaign that delivered the program’s first national ranking since 1999 and its most wins in over two decades.
Head coach Britt Broady said the schedule is designed to test the team early, pitting them against a quartet of opponents that reached the 2025 NCAA Tournament — Fairfield, Harvard, Princeton and UConn.
The season will open with an exhibition match against the University of British Columbia on August 27 at home, giving the Bears a chance to fine‑tune before conference play.
Following the opener, Brown will launch its regular season with three consecutive home games against UConn, Quinnipiac and Boston University, a stretch that could set the tone for the year.
Ivy League competition begins on September 18 at Yale, and the Bears will intersperse home series with Providence and Columbia before embarking on a road trip that includes stops at UMass Lowell, Cornell and Bryant.
Later in the schedule, Brown will host Penn, UMass and Harvard, while closing the regular season at home against Dartmouth on October 31, after a final road swing at Princeton and Lafayette.
