A Strategic Addition to Brown Men's Soccer

Brown University announced this week that Brandon Iannelli has taken on the role of Operations Coordinator for its men’s soccer program, a move that underscores the university’s commitment to elevating its athletic infrastructure.

Chase Wileman, who serves as Head Coaching Chair, highlighted Iannelli’s extensive background in player development and program leadership, stating that his arrival aligns with the team’s ambition to compete at the highest level of collegiate soccer.

Iannelli’s career trajectory includes a stint as an Academy Coach with the New England Revolution, where he helped shape the Individual Development Program and contributed to the club’s video analysis efforts for Revolution II. Prior to that, he guided R.I. Rogues FC in the Women’s Premier Soccer League since 2021, steering the side to multiple playoff berths, a national semifinal appearance and a No. 1 national ranking.

His leadership at the Rhode Island‑based club also saw the team secure a top‑seed position and earn widespread recognition for its tactical discipline and player progression. Complementing his on‑field experience, Iannelli holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rhode Island College and a Master of Sports Science in Soccer Coaching Education from Ohio University, credentials that blend analytical insight with practical coaching expertise.

Wileman added that Iannelli’s academic foundation and proven track record in both youth development and higher‑education settings position him to drive operational excellence, streamline recruitment pipelines and foster a culture of continuous improvement within the Brown program.
