Browns Join Forces with Italian Federation to Expand American Football in Italy

Partnership brings youth, women's and national team programs, a new stadium and a 2026 Italian Bowl in Ferrara

The Cleveland Browns have unveiled a strategic partnership with Italy’s Italian Federation of American Football (FIDAF) that will drive the growth of the sport across the nation.

Under the agreement, the Browns will work with FIDAF to launch a series of camps, clinics and tournament circuits that target youth, women and girls, while also supporting the development of national teams.

The announcement comes as the franchise prepares to welcome new head coach Todd Monken and to break ground on a $2.6 billion, fully enclosed stadium scheduled to open in 2029, a move that underscores the team’s ambition to extend its brand beyond U.S. borders.

"This partnership marks a milestone for Italian American football," said Leoluca Orlando, president of FIDAF, adding that the federation’s half‑century of history will now be bolstered by the Browns’ extensive resources and global reach.

Italian Bowl 2026 Set for Ferrara

The Italian Football League (ILF), which has been shaping the domestic landscape for nearly five decades, will showcase its flagship event, the Italian Bowl, on July 4, 2026 at the Paolo Mazza Stadium in Ferrara, Italy.

With a blend of historic tradition and modern investment, the collaboration promises to elevate the visibility of American football in Italy and to inspire a new generation of players and fans.
