Quincy High School names Bryce Williams as new varsity basketball coach
Bryce Williams has been appointed head coach of the Quincy High School varsity boys basketball team, taking over from Connor Aemisegger, who stepped down after several successful seasons.
Williams brings a deep playing pedigree to the role, having scored over 1,000 points at Archbold High School before moving on to a four‑year stint at Trine University, where he earned All‑MIAA honors twice and helped the Thunder capture conference titles in 2018 and 2021.
After graduation, he began his coaching career as a varsity assistant at Archbold High School and later at Fremont High School, most recently serving as an assistant and eighth‑grade head coach for the Eagles, gaining experience across multiple levels of the program.
Expressing enthusiasm for his new position, Williams said he is eager to join the Quincy community and build a sustainable, competitive basketball program that reflects the town’s spirit.
Quincy High School Athletic Director Lucas Meyer praised Williams’ passion, energy, and vision, stating that the school is excited to see the direction he will take the program.
The hiring marks a continuation of a strong local pipeline, linking Archbold and Fremont alumni to leadership roles within the region’s basketball ecosystem.
