Bryson LeBlanc, who joined the Missouri Tigers baseball program in June 2023 after a stint at UC San Diego, will not continue as the team’s hitting coach for a fourth season, a move confirmed by university officials this week.
During his lone year in Columbia, LeBlanc oversaw a noticeable uptick in sacrifice bunts and stolen‑base attempts, statistics that had long been among the program’s weakest. However, the Tigers’ overall offensive output remained middling, ranking near the bottom of the SEC in batting average, slugging percentage and runs batted in over the past three seasons.
A New Pitching Direction
The program recently added former Virginia pitching coach Drew Dickinson to the staff, a move praised for Dickinson’s track record of developing arms that performed well in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Meanwhile, the roster is already in motion, with two Missouri players having entered the transfer portal since the season’s conclusion, underscoring the fluidity of the team’s composition.
Fans and analysts alike are watching closely to see how the Tigers will address the gaps left by LeBlanc’s exit and whether Dickinson’s arrival will translate into a more potent offense in the upcoming campaign.
