Bucknell Announces Nine‑Player Class for 2026
Bucknell University’s men’s soccer program revealed that it will welcome nine new athletes to the roster for the upcoming 2026 season, a move that signals the Bison’s intent to rebuild after a competitive recent campaign.
The incoming group comprises two transfer players and seven freshmen, a mix that Coach Dave Brandt believes will inject both experience and raw energy into the squad.
Transfer Players Bring Proven College Experience
Jack Bejarano, who previously suited up for Farleigh Dickinson University and Robert Morris University, arrives after a collegiate stint that yielded three goals and four assists at Robert Morris. His background also includes a productive high‑school career at Lewisburg Area High School, where he helped lead his team to a state championship in 2025.
Colin Findlay joins from York College, where he appeared in 41 matches and recorded two goals alongside five assists. The midfielder’s durability and playmaking ability are expected to bolster the Bison’s midfield depth.
Freshmen Set to Add Local Flavor and International Reach
The freshman class features a diverse set of talents, including Grant Brokaw, Niccolo Machotka‑Farley, Marcelo Ojeda, Viktor Permyashkin, Hamish Riddell, Chayse Snyder and Max Walsh. Among them, Permyashkin, a native of Lewisburg, brings a State Championship pedigree from his high school years.
Coach Brandt Outlines Ambitions
Head coach Dave Brandt expressed confidence that the new roster will elevate the team’s performance on the field and strengthen its culture within the program. He emphasized the Bison’s goal of making another push for the Patriot League title, noting that the added depth provides a strategic advantage.
With a blend of seasoned transfers, accomplished freshmen, and returning veterans, the 2026 squad is positioned to compete at a higher level. The coaching staff believes the chemistry developed during the offseason will translate into a strong showing when the schedule begins.
