Bucknell University’s football department is rolling out a series of community‑focused events for the 2026 season, aiming to bring fans onto campus and into the stadium experience before the first game.
Community‑Driven Schedule
The centerpiece is a free Family Fun Fest scheduled for Saturday, August 22, from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at Christy Mathewson Memorial Stadium, where children can enjoy mini‑games, collect autographed photos, and snack on popcorn coupons while having a chance to win tickets to the September 5 home opener.
Two luncheon gatherings with head coach Jeff Behrman will follow at Bull Run Tap House, on Monday, August 24 and again on Monday, October 12, both at noon. Attendees will hear the coach’s vision for the upcoming campaign, with tickets priced at $20 for the general public and $15 for members of the Gridiron or Bison Club.
Tailgate for the Pitt Game
A tailgate celebration will be held on Saturday, September 26, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Great Lawn adjacent to Acrisure Stadium, offering fare from Mission BBQ, non‑alcoholic drinks, beer and wine. Adults will pay $40, youth ages 11‑17 $20, and children under 11 enter free.
Prospective participants must register for tailgate tickets and secure seats in Bucknell sections 102‑107 before the event, ensuring a coordinated experience for fans traveling to the Pitt matchup.
