Buddy Krumenacker, the longtime head coach of Farmingdale High School’s football team, has announced that the upcoming season will be his final year at the helm, bringing to a close a 34‑year tenure that has shaped Long Island’s high school football landscape.

Over three and a half decades, Krumenacker compiled a career record of 315 wins, 105 losses and 11 ties, earning 11 Nassau Conference I titles and appearing in ten Long Island Class I championship games, two of which his teams captured in 2001 and 2022.
His teams have been defined by a disciplined, ‘do‑as‑you‑are‑told’ philosophy that emphasizes work ethic and preparation for life beyond the gridiron, a approach that has resonated with players, rival coaches and the broader Farmingdale community.
