A Homecoming on the Field
O'Cyrus Torrence, a starting offensive lineman for the Buffalo Bills, returned to his hometown of Greensburg, Louisiana, to give back to the community that shaped him.
The free youth football camp, now in its second year, took place at St. Helena College and Career Academy, where dozens of kids gathered on the field to learn drills, receive mentorship, and hear Torrence’s story.
More Than a Game
Torrence, who grew up watching the same local fields, recalled how few organized programs existed when he was a child, and he hopes the camp will fill that gap for the next generation.
Beyond football fundamentals, the session emphasized teamwork, discipline, and the importance of education, reflecting the values Torrence carries both on and off the gridiron.
Local parents and coaches praised the initiative, noting that such opportunities are rare in the area, and they expressed hope that the camp will become an annual tradition.
