Season Outlook
Ferris State University’s women’s soccer program has released its 2026 campaign, a schedule that blends early‑season tests with a full slate of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contests and aims to build on a promising run under Coach Greg Henson.
The first preseason scrimmage is set for August 15 against Delta College, giving the squad a chance to fine‑tune before the season officially begins.
Regular‑season action opens in late August with a pair of games in Minnesota, facing Southwest Minnesota State and Concordia‑St. Paul, before the Bulldogs return home for Labor Day weekend matchups against Findlay and Walsh.
A highlight comes on September 27 when the team hosts Michigan Tech, marking Senior Day and Parents Weekend, a tradition that underscores the program’s community ties.
The GLIAC race kicks off on September 11 against Wayne State, and the Bulldogs will host Purdue Northwest on September 20 before traveling to Davenport on September 25.
October brings a stretch of home games, including contests against Roosevelt, Parkside, Davenport and Saginaw Valley State, while road trips to Purdue Northwest, Michigan Tech, Northern Michigan and others keep the schedule balanced.
The regular season culminates with a final home appearance against Grand Valley State on October 29, after which the GLIAC Tournament begins on November 3 and the NCAA Tournament follows in mid‑November.
Coach Greg Henson, who has guided the Bulldogs to their first GLIAC regular‑season title and a league tournament championship since his arrival, says the schedule is designed to build on the momentum of a 2025 campaign that ended with an 8‑5‑6 record and a historic run to the national semifinals.
All home games are slated to start at 1 p.m. Eastern, and the full schedule is available at FerrisStateBulldogs.com.
