Cade Bennerman, a 7‑foot redshirt freshman center, arrived at the University of North Carolina this summer after a standout high school career at Father Ryan High School in Nashville, where he helped the program to its most victories in sixteen seasons.
After spending a year redshirting at Northwestern, where he posted 13.6 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game in the 2025 campaign, Bennerman brings a seasoned presence to Chapel Hill. His 6‑year‑old frame and defensive instincts are expected to fill a void left by departing big men.
