Andrew Carlson, a junior from Trinity Classical in Valencia, earned top billing in the Class of 2027. He blasted seven home runs and fanned 150 batters over 76 innings, a combination that has drawn early comparisons to some of the state's all-time greats.
Nate Godbold, a sophomore at Mt. Carmel in San Diego, was selected to the all-state sophomore team after a breakout year that saw him collect 40 hits and launch five homers. His rapid ascent reflects a deep well of talent emerging from Southern California.
The honors are divided by class, with juniors named to both first and second teams, while sophomores occupy a single team. A separate freshman watch list will be published later in the cycle, giving early-look prospects a chance to shine before their senior year.
