Gallatin High School announced this week that Caleb Bellach will serve as the new head coach of the Eagles’ boys’ basketball program, taking over from Michael Claxton, who accepted a position at the University of Providence.
A fresh face on the sidelines
Bellach, a native of Churchill, Montana, brings a deep connection to the region and a résumé that includes a Class C state championship as head coach of Manhattan Christian in 2019.
A standout at both Montana State and Montana Tech, he was named Frontier Conference Player of the Year in 2023, and his playing career helped shape a coaching philosophy centered on discipline and teamwork.
From player to coach
After guiding Manhattan High School to a 10‑12 record in his first season as head coach, Bellach is eager to apply those lessons as he steps onto the Gallatin sidelines.
School officials say Bellach’s familiarity with the local talent pool and his proven leadership make him a natural fit as the Eagles aim to climb the state rankings in the coming seasons.
