Caleb Ourigou, a 6‑foot‑10, 220‑pound center from the class of 2027, announced his pledge to Arkansas basketball after an official visit to Fayetteville in June. The commitment comes as the young prospect, already a consensus four‑star recruit, weighs the possibility of reclassifying to the 2026 class and entering college this upcoming season.
Ranked as the No. 6 center and No. 42 overall prospect nationally, Ourigou attracted scholarship offers from a who's‑who of college programs, including Kentucky, Connecticut, Alabama, Baylor and Syracuse. His decision to choose the Razorbacks reflects both the program’s growing appeal and his personal fit within the team’s style of play.
A Journey Through Elite Competition
Before arriving in Fayetteville, Ourigou honed his game with Overtime Elite’s Cold Hearts squad, where he posted 6.2 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game while shooting 62 % from the field. At the NBPA Top 100 camp in Rock Hill, South Carolina, he averaged 9.8 points and 7.8 rebounds, hitting 74 % of his two‑point attempts and 63 % of his free throws.
His recent performance on the Nike EYBL circuit for NY Rens further cemented his reputation, as he delivered 12.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and two blocks per game while shooting 66.7 % inside the arc. Such numbers have drawn praise from ESPN national recruiting director Paul Biancardi, who highlighted Ourigou’s size, strength and ability to score and defend in the paint.
