Cam Hausinger Joins Tahoe Knight Monsters in ECHL

Veteran forward brings Western Hockey League experience to the Knights

Cam Hausinger, a native of Anchorage, Alaska, has officially signed a contract with the Tahoe Knight Monsters of the ECHL, marking the latest step in a career that has spanned multiple professional leagues.

A Journey Across Leagues

Last season, Hausinger suited up for the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and the Toledo Walleye, where he recorded 31 points in 64 games. His offensive contributions have been a constant throughout stints with several ECHL affiliates, including the Florida Everblades and the Wheeling Nailers.

Across his ECHL career, Hausinger has amassed 146 points, comprising 66 goals and 80 assists, in 272 appearances for teams such as Toledo, Greenville, Indy, Florida and Wheeling. The consistency he has shown in the minor leagues has made him a reliable depth option for any club seeking veteran stability.

In addition to his ECHL work, Hausinger has logged 13 games of AHL experience with the Milwaukee Admirals, the Iowa Wild and the Chicago Wolves, demonstrating his ability to compete at the highest level of the minor professional system.

Prior to turning professional, the forward spent five seasons in the Western Hockey League, playing for the Saskatoon Blades, the Red Deer Rebels and the Kootenay Ice. In 317 WHL games, he contributed 161 points, honing the physical brand of hockey that has become his trademark.

What This Means for Tahoe

The Knight Monsters are looking to bolster their forward depth as they prepare for a competitive season in the ECHL. Hausinger's blend of experience, work ethic and familiarity with winning environments positions him as a valuable asset both on and off the ice.

General Manager Jeff Huefner expressed enthusiasm about the signing, noting that "Cam brings a proven track record of professionalism and offensive versatility that aligns perfectly with our team's goals. We're excited to see how his experience will translate into success with the Knights."
