Camaryn Baber Signs with Orlando Solar Bears for 2026‑27 Season

The former University of New Brunswick captain adds championship experience to the ECHL affiliate's roster

A New Chapter for the Solar Bears

The Orlando Solar Bears announced this week that forward Camaryn Baber has inked a contract for the 2026‑27 season, marking the latest step in a promising career that has already spanned multiple leagues.

Baber arrives after four seasons at the University of New Brunswick, where he helped the team capture three Atlantic University Sport championships and two University Cup titles. In 139 collegiate games he recorded 56 points and served as an alternate captain during the 2025‑26 campaign.

His junior days in the Ontario Hockey League saw him captain the Saginaw Spirit for the 2021‑22 season before a mid‑season trade to the London Knights, a move that capped a five‑year stretch in which he tallied 98 points in 205 games.

General manager Brad Ralph praised Baber’s blend of leadership and offensive skill, noting that his championship pedigree should help the Solar Bears deepen their forward depth as they aim for a playoff push.
