During her five‑year tenure at Old Dominion, Bell helped the Monarchs to a 22‑win season, a second‑round showing in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament and the program’s highest ever grade point average. She oversaw post‑player development, recruiting and served as the team's academic liaison, contributing to a culture that combined athletic success with scholarly achievement.
Emphasis on Player Development and Academic Excellence
Bell's second season at Old Dominion produced a 22‑12 overall record and a 12‑6 conference slate, culminating in a Sun Belt Championship Semifinal appearance and All‑Conference honors for Amari Young. Her recruiting efforts brought in talent that earned multiple All‑Big South selections, while her academic oversight helped the team achieve the highest GPA in program history.
