A Milestone in Non‑Conference Play
The Cancun Challenge returns for its 22nd edition, bringing together some of the nation’s top women’s basketball programs to the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya in Mexico. The non‑conference showcase will run from November 26, featuring two distinct tournaments that highlight both regional rivalries and national talent.
This year’s field is split into a six‑team Riviera Tournament and a four‑team Mayan Tournament. The Riviera bracket includes Cincinnati, Kansas, Miami (OH), Missouri State and Washington State, while the Mayan bracket showcases Colorado, Georgia, Maryland Eastern Shore and Oregon. All matchups are scheduled to take place at the resort’s state‑of‑the‑art courts.
Triple Crown Sports, the tournament’s production partner, is overseeing the event’s logistics and broadcast coordination. The organization has confirmed that a full schedule of games and start times has been released, though details on streaming platforms will be announced later.
Fans interested in attending can purchase fan packages that bundle tickets, accommodations and exclusive experiences at the resort. Organizers say the packages are designed to enhance the overall experience for those traveling to the Yucatán Peninsula.
